Volunteer:
MAPS is in need of volunteers to help develop programs and catalog collections. We are specifically seeking those with teaching and museum experience. We are also looking for those with a retail background who can assist in our future gift shop, and those with a background in paleontology, archaeology, or related sciences who can serve as curators, classroom teachers and on-site docents.
Those who are interested should complete a volunteer application which may be obtained by emailing carlimapsmuseum@gmail.com. Applications may also be obtained in person on site.
This opportunity is limited to those ages 15 years and older with parental or guardian permission (if under age 18).
Paleo Pathfinders
The Paleo Pathfinders is a senior group of educators organized under the umbrella of the Museum of Archaeology, Paleontology & Science (MAPS). A targeted campaign to attract seasoned, life-long learners to covey their wealth of knowledge to the younger generation. “Pathfinders” will meet regularly to change out exhibits, develop programs, socialize, learn from MAPS curators, take MAPS sponsored trips and have fun! They will be encouraged to give of their time to lead a wide array of programs, tours and birthday parties at the museum and out in the community. Those that accumulate a certain number of hours will be given pins and certificates, honored for their time at events, and have a sense of pride that they made a difference in the lives of a new generation of life-long learners.

Naming Opportunities: The new building and/or its galleries are now in the planning phase and are great ways for you and your family to leave your legacy. The museum and/or galleries will be named according to your wishes.
