SUMMARY:Southwest Pool Grand Opening

DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:After 10 months of renovations, the City of Largo is reopening Southwest Po
 ol with a daylong celebration for all ages on Sat, Jun 28 from 7am-5pm. The
  project focused on modernizing the pool and bath house to enhance safety, 
 accessibility, and overall experience for visitors.<br /><br />Renovations 
 included essential upgrades to the pool's structure and systems, such as sh
 ell, deck, and diving tower repairs. New mechanical equipment and accessibi
 lity features now offer a safer, more inclusive environment. Inside the bat
 h house, redesigned locker rooms feature updated showers, lighting, and fix
 tures, along with two additional restrooms and a flexible-use program room.
  The facility also received new flooring, fresh paint inside and out, and a
 n updated entry gate.<br /><br />These improvements reflect the City's comm
 itment to enhancing public spaces that promote health, safety, and communit
 y pride. This $6 million project was funded with federal dollars through th
 e American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) with an additional $134,315 in support fr
 om the City’s general fund for the installation of new fencing and equipmen
 t upgrades.<br /><br />To celebrate, community members are invited to enjoy
  a full day of free activities and explore the upgraded space. <br /><br />
