EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES
Our Educational Support Services department offers several divisions that provide services to enhance the academic experience of our youth. Serving as a liaison between parents, schools, and the community - a unique component of our after school program focuses on academic enhancement and parent advocacy. In doing so, both students and parents receive assistance. Students receive homework help and individualized tutoring, while parents obtain valuable mentoring and support for effective interaction with the school system. Our goal is to promote educational excellence in students in the after school program by building partnerships among families and schools in a collective effort to ensure student learning, development of social skills, and preparation for a healthy and productive life.

Academic Enhancement (After School) Program
In partnership with Pinellas County School Board (PCSB), this is an after school program designed for students in Kindergarten thru 12th grade. Students enrolled receive assistance with homework, FCAT preparation, and are tutored in specific subject areas by State certified teachers. They participate in recreational and enrichment field trips. Individualized progress plans and academic assessments are reported for each student.

Parent Advocacy
Our Parent Advocacy component entails parent meetings that are designed to inform and educate parents about educational issues in an effort to help them become better advocates for their child(ren). These meetings are mandatory for all parents. Furthermore, to provide valuable mentoring and support for effective interaction with the school system, staff is available to attend teacher conferences with parents.

An additional resource is the Parent Academy (Parents to Advocate for their Children and Community or P2ACC) established by the Pinellas County School District. These workshops focus on three primary areas: Academic Success, Parenting and Advocacy, and Personal & Individual Growth.

Summer Academic Enrichment Program
Summer camp provides creative, education, and recreational opportunities that foster the mental, physical, and social growth of each child. Students receive instruction in Mathematics, Reading, Technology, and other academic areas. Field trips are scheduled on a weekly basis to enhance curriculum.
