Pasco County Junior Explorers

Pasco County Junior Explorers

The Law Enforcement Exploring Program for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office was started with the intention of providing the youth of our communities the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement and develop a more positive relationship between youth and law enforcement officers.

Our purpose is to provide a well-rounded program to our participants that cover the major areas of law enforcement. In so doing we intend to build character, determination and life skills that will last a lifetime. In addition, we will provide each explorer the tools he/she needs in order to make a decision about a career in law enforcement. Junior Explorers will be provided with a Junior Explorer T-Shirt and any gear necessary to complete training.

The Explorers participate in a wide variety of community activities and service projects throughout Pasco County. Our explorers work closely with a number of non-profit groups that are trying to make a difference in our community. Explorers also assist the Pasco Sheriff’s Office by performing certain duties that free up deputies to perform other tasks. Junior Explorers will be able to assist in this were appropriate and reasonable. They will always be accompanied by two adult members of the sheriff's office personnel.
