These classes are unique to the Leadership Conservatory and Tarpon Springs Middle School. This unique program teaches students important skills and concepts including: taking personal responsibility, embracing change, being a future thinker, taking risks, being a persistent problem solver and persuasive negotiator, doing what ever it takes to have a positive impact, exhibiting resilience to setbacks, enjoying challenges, having a high need to achieve, and constantly acquiring new knowledge.
The TSMS Arts magnet program is open to current North Pinellas County 5th, 6th and 7th grade students.
Tarpon Springs Middle School believes that all students have the capacity to participate and find success in the fine arts. No prior experience is necessary. The Conservatory offers many avenues of expression and creativity including: Instrumental Music (band and orchestra), Dance, Vocal Music and the Visual Arts. All students at our school have the opportunity to receive high-level fine arts
training that meets their specific needs and potential. Important factors to keep in mind when considering any fine arts class are: a willingness to meet and persevere through challenges and a work ethic and commitment to making one’s self better at chosen endeavors.
