Solid Rock Community School is a K-12th grade accredited private school. Founded in 2004 with only 12 students, 3 staff members, and a vision, Solid Rock began on its journey to develop a nontraditional approach to “school” that truly recognizes each student’s individual academic, social, and emotional needs.
Solid Rock Community School is a school community that finds joy in work, in play, and in the discovery and realization of personal potential. Our dedicated and qualified staff provides a nurturing environment offering quality education and a low teacher-to-student ratio. Embracing diversity of background, culture, personalities, and thought, the school seeks to provide a life-altering opportunity to its students.
With word of mouth as the biggest contributor, Solid Rock Community School continues to grow each year in student enrollment and academic offerings. Solid Rock Community School offers open enrollment as space permits.
Currently, Solid Rock has over 200 students and two campuses.
Solid Rock Community School offers many options for homeschool families. Community Day (Fridays) is open for homeschooler participation. It is a great opportunity for your child to have social and academic experiences not typically available in the home. Solid Rock also offers a privately funded virtual school program.
The day is structured and supervised, yet the workshop activities are extremely fun, hands-on, and social. Community Day participation encourages teamwork, problem solving, creativity, thinking outside the box, and peer relationships. Examples of past “Experiences” include: Wood working, Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Dance and Circus Arts, Theater, Lego Robotics, Robotics, STEM, Forensics, Art, Music, Community Service, Florida History and Geography, Kayaking and so much more.
