Allergy Skin Testing: A skin prick test that is virtually painless test for immediate allergic reactions to natural extracts from trees, grasses ,weeds, animal dander, dust mites, molds and foods .
We use latest technique using multi headed device which make this testing quick, painless and accurate for diagnosis of allergic condition.
Intradermal Skin Testing: A test for hypersensitivity or allergy in which a small amount of the suspected allergen is injected into the skin with very small needle. This test is only done in selected adult patients.
Lung Function Test: A test used to evaluate lungs health by assessing speed and flow of air in and out of lung by using our latest computerized measurement system of lung function which gives us up to 56 different parameters of your lung health.
Rhinoscopy: The examination of the nose with a fiber optic camera through nostrils to look inside the nose and back of throat after application of local anesthetic. This is painless procedure and does not require any sedation.
Asthma Provocation test: A test done to evaluation for diagnosis of asthma in patients who complain of wheezing with exposure to certain allergen or environment.
Venom Testing: A Test for life threatening allergy to venoms. Wasp, honey bee and bumble bee allergy is tested by application or injection of diluted purified venom components in skin.
Fire Ant Testing: To test for check for hypersensitivity to fire ants venom and treatment with allergen immunotherapy.
Penicillin Allergy Testing: A test to an allergy to penicillin. Can be done either with a prick test, an intradermal test or oral challenge.
Aspirin Allergy Testing and Desensitization: Takes place when a patient is given a very small amount of aspirin and continuously given small amounts over the span of several hours in medically controlled environment.
Food Allergy Testing: Dr. Salim will look through your medical history as a first step of diagnosis. Then we would perform a prick test, blood test, oral challenge test to suspected food.
Immunotherapy to pollens, weeds, grasses, trees, animals and molds: Natural extract of tree pollen, animal dander, and mold are given in small incremental dose to stimulate the immune system to develop tolerance.
